USE OF AI TOOLS FOR MEAL PLANS

How to Use AI with Livel Health Reports for Personalised Meal Planning


1. Set Clear Goals in Your AI Prompt

Let your AI know about your goal and relevant personal data, e.g.:

“I am a 60-year-old female, 1.54m, currently 98kg aiming to reach 58kg. I live a lightly active lifestyle and do strength training twice a week. My daily calorie target is 1328 kcal, with 47% carbs, 31% protein, and 22% fat. Generate 3 meals per day.”


2. Define Macronutrient Ranges

Make sure your AI-generated meals stay within:

  • Carbohydrates: up to 157g (check your report)
  • Protein: up to 103g (check your report)
  • Fat: up to 32g (check your report)

 Ask the AI to break down macronutrient % for each meal and day total.


3. Specify Meal Preferences

For your convenience, let AI know of how many meals you would like per week or per day and any dietary restraints or allergies. Clarify:

  • Whether you want 3 meals per day or 2 meals + 1 snack
  • If you’re vegetarian, mixed, or non-vegetarian

Example prompt:

“Please generate a vegetarian meal plan with 3 meals/day using the above nutritional goals.”

4. Request Recipes and Shopping Lists

Once meals are suggested, you can ask the AI:

“Now organise daily recipe cards and a shopping list that reuses ingredients through the week to avoid waste.”

5. Validate with a Nutrition App

After generating meals:

  1. Pick at least one meal.
  2. Enter it into MyFitnessPal (app or desktop).
  3. Check if macronutrients and calories align with your plan.
  4. If not, prompt AI:
    • Example: “Adjust fat content in Meal 1; MyFitnessPal says it’s too high for the plan.”


6. Assess Meal Suitability

If you have any doubts, the AI is able to explain if a dish is suitable for you. Example:

“Is this recipe ideal for weight loss under my plan? Highlight if anything exceeds my targets.”

7. Discuss with Health Experts

Take the AI-generated plans to your Exercise & Nutrition Scientist at your next appointment to adjust for:

  • Preferences
  • Nutrient timing (pre/post gym)
  • Ingredient swaps
